What Is Depression And What Are Its Symptoms?

Depression is actually a kind of extreme sadness, a feeling of life disconnection, and also a lack of enjoyment in things that you used to like in your daily life. This is not a sign of weakness; everyone experiences depression at some point in life. Symptoms of Depression

Below is a list of common signs of depression:

  • Changes in sleep patterns, sleep longer than usual, insomnia, or waking up earlier than usual

  • Loss of concentration, difficulty remembering things or difficulty making decisions
  • Feeling hopeless, helpless, worthless, guilty of being ridden, sad, anxious, empty or pessimistic

Women are more likely to overeat, and feel worthless and tend to sleep too much.
